Recovery the old fashioned way!

This agency driver had followed his sat-nav down this narrow bridlepath, and as a result ended up very stuck with severely damaged suspension. We were unable to get to the vehicle with a truck due to the poor access, so one of Mick's toys was loaded onto the International to save the day! Mick and C...

Low loader on M25

This low loader suffered damage to it's running gear, resulting in us lifting it onto our own low loader with the NRC and recovering it to the customer's yard. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/low%20loader%20m25/IMG_0985_zpseollhwrw.jpg http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mic...

Snow leads to trouble for laden artic

Mick and Richard were called out with both rotators to this incident on the A268 Peasmarsh. The trailer had a high centre of gravity (16ft) and high voltage power lines overhead made it awkward to utilise the cranes. The vehicle was recovered back onto the road and drove back to its depot. http://i1...

Burnt out artic on M25

One in the early hours just before Christmas. The cause of the fire is unknown, made a bit of a mess on the road and low loader! http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/M25%20melted%20trailer/P1010517%20Copy_zpsfzclicoz.jpg http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/M25%20melted...

Shifted load on trailer (M25)

This machine slipped forward whilst being transported on the back of the trailer. The load was lifted/winched back into position with the 1075, before being strapped down and re-secured. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/m25%20fmg%20load%20shifted/P1010507%20Copy_zps8w5nakj6.jpg ht...

Laden 44T cement tanker in trouble

This little road in Brenchley is a busy thoroughfare for HGVs, and unfortunately this tanker pulled over to allow another truck to pass and fell into the soft verge. As you can see, there wasn't much room to work with! The winches were set up with a support to 'catch' the casualty whilst it was bein...

Bit of a tight one!

This vehicle had traveled down a long, narrow driveway and slipped off the side into a stream whilst doing a tight turn. As you can see from the photos, access was very poor and restricted with low, overhanging trees making the job a bit more awkward! http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgou...

Fully laden artic rollover

Nice job for a Friday afternoon! Mick and Richard have just come back from the B2089 Udimore where this artic loaded with scrap came to grief on one of the bends. Rained a lot at the end and they got very wet, but a straight forward job for the rotators! http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mick...

Narrow boat movement

This narrow boat was similar to the submerged one we rescued from the river in Oxford at the beginning of the year, and is estimated to weigh approx. 20T. This one had been vandalised inside and the owner wanted it refurbished, but first it needed to be moved from its current location (Shepperton) t...

Movement of 53T landfill compactor

We were called to assist moving this compactor in Pitsea landfill site, which had previously suffered an engine fire and been stationary for 2 years. It would have been a fairly straight forward job, however there is a railway bridge 2 miles from the site which is the only road in/out. The bridge is...

Kent Fire and Rescue training day

We were recently called to assist Kent Fire and Rescue service with their training day. Richard took along a casualty vehicle and rolled it over onto some cars to simulate a motorway pile up. This was a reconstruction for all emergency services, including police, fire and rescue, ambulance and the a...
