Fallen tree removal
The low loader, rotator and digger were called out to move a large 300 year old English oak tree which had blown over during the winter in Penshurst, Kent. The authorities were concerned about it so it was made secure until arrangements were made to move it when the weather was better etc. The road ...

Laden artic in trouble in London
The driver made a wrong turn and ended up having to turn on a small roundabout. The trailer was loaded fairly heavily and high towards the front. When the unit was at a right angle with the trailer it didn't have enough stability and the load fell forwards against the tractor unit. The timber packs ...

13T excavator stuck in pond
Once again, access was very poor. The driveway was too small for the NRC so the job had to be done from the road, over the side of the vehicle through the trees. This severely reduces the available effort, fortunately the machine still had some life left in it and was able to assist in the removal. ...

Laden artic overturned on A21
This is another unexplained mystery. The artic overturned and spilled it's load on a relatively straight section of the A21. Righting the vehicle was easy, but much time was spent restacking and moving the many alloy sections that had been strewn across the carriageway. http://i1298.photobucket.com/...

French artic off M20
We worked with a neighboring company again on this incident. No-one is sure why, but the driver left the carriageway and traveled considerable distance before the laden artic ground to a halt. We turned it round with the rotator and supported it whilst it was winched out by the other heavy recovery ...

Bridge lift
We were called to lift an oak bridge from it's transporter and place it on a barge, ready for installation at Bayham lakes. Access was restricted and the surface anything but level! http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/101_1602Copy_zpsddd7c288.jpg http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/a...

Atego in the trees
We were called to attend this job by local authorities. Not too sure how it ended up where it did, somehow the driver lost control. He was very lucky to escape with only minor injuries. The vehicle was righted and winched back onto the carriageway. All loose bodywork was secured before being recover...

Overturned 20T TerraGator
We attended this job in Ilford, East Sussex. The Autocar was used to right the vehicle before recovering it back to its base with the low loader. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/RTIER59_zps012ce40f.jpg http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag57/mickgould1/RTIER58_zpsba0bdf45.jpg ht...

Another lucky escape
We got called to this incident on the motorway. The front vehicle was stationary on the hard shoulder for some reason, the rear vehicle didn't see it/slow down and ran into the back. Fortunately the N/S took most of the impact and the driver survived the incident. It was very awkward to recover due ...

Trailer hits tree...and looses
This was an odd job, the driver had recently passed up this narrow road, made his delivery before returning back towards the motorway. The winds had been very strong that afternoon and a tree had started to fall but was tangled with others, reducing the available headroom. The driver wouldn't have e...

Part-laden dustcart in dyke
The driver of this vehicle said he pulled over to avoid a car and went into the dyke. Unfortunately, the dyke was very deep and a large tree managed to get between the body and the cab. It was firmly wedged between the two, and the body suffered impact damage in the process. The rotator was set up t...

Peterbilt 379/Vulcan V100 8x4 Restoration
We had this truck new around about 2000. It was a well spec'd truck with the signature 600, dual frame, V100 etc etc. It performed very well and had covered around 600,000 miles before it was involved in an accident. It was kept running with an odd bonnet etc before we decided to take it off the ro...
