The fuel tank etc were grounded, it was decided to tilt the cab, lift from the axle and then place the axle on a large timber block. The cab was lowered and as the truck drove forward, the wheel came into contact with the road surface again. It was a simple job, but one of those that you could do untold damage if you adopted the wrong approach.
