(North Kent). This truck had only been on the road for a number of days. The driver pulled over to check on his delivery, unfortunately the manhole cover collapsed. The fuel tank etc were grounded, it was decided to tilt the cab, lift from the axle and then place the axle on a large timber block. The cab was lowered and as the truck drove forward, the wheel came into contact with the road surface again. It was a simple job, but one of those that you could do untold damage if you adopted the wrong approach.
