We had to attend another heavily laden ballast trailer today. This took place in London, the trailer was in excess of 100T and it was not possible for the tractor to pull it up the slope. There was very little room, as you can see. Parked behind it was a multi axle crane, also weighing in excess of 100T which also needed assistance on the slope. It doesn't appear to be very steep in the images, but I can assure you that it was! Some of the jobs that these crane companies are expected to carry out are particularly difficult. The ground conditions, gradients and access routes have to be seen to be believed.
